We moved back to our home in South Carolina from California in September 2016. Since the house had been a rental property since Sue moved to join Brian in Germany in December 2009, there was a great deal of work needed to repair the interior, and restore the “farm” to make it capable of supporting our livestock and garden. This restoration work will took a considerable investment of time, money, and labor to accomplish. Yet through it all, we knew that if we sought the face of the LORD throughout this effort, He would provide the resources needed to accomplish the work needed to fulfill His will for this place – our temporary home. Therefore, we named it? יְהֹוָה יִרְאֵה (Yehovah yireh – The LORD will provide) Farm.
In early 2019, we purchased a small home on a little lake in Oconee County, SC. At the same time, we began preparing to sell יְהֹוָה יִרְאֵה (Yehovah yireh) Farm, and move up to the Blue Ridge foothills. When our Huppstead in Aiken County finally sold in early 2021 is was a bittersweet farewell to our home of many years, and countless hours of hard work. It was heartbreaking leaving our longtime friends, our church family, and especially our youngest son behind in Aiken. Still, we trust that our LORD has manifested His will for our lives in this latest move, and look forward to what He will do with us and with the new Huppstead He has provided along peaceful little Lake Becky.
