We begin a new Becky Bereans study of Paul’s pastoral epistles to Timothy with a review of their ministry together before beginning a discussion of the 1 Timothy text.
Our final study in the book of Ruth. We see how Ruth’s redemption by Boaz modeled Jesus’ redemption of all mankind.
We continue our study of Ruth with a detailed look at the Law of Moses and the traditions of ancient Israel with regard to inheritance and redemption of the land, and the preservation of the family names of men who died without sons. In this chapter we see the midnight conversation between Ruth and Boaz at his threshing floor.
Ruth goes to glean in Boaz’ field at the beginning of the barley harvest that takes place right after Passover. We learn that Boaz was a close relative who might become Ruth’s redeemer under the Law of Moses.
We begin our study of the book of Ruth with a brief introduction and a detailed look at Ruth chapter 1. The main lesson we glean from this chapter is encouragement to trust in God in the midst of adversity.
