Luke 9:1-17

Jesus sends forth His apostles to preach the Kingdom, heal the sick, and cast out demons.
Jesus feeds 5000 men with 5 loaves and 20 fish.

Luke 8:40-56

In this passage Jesus performs miracles including raising the daughter of Jarius from the dead, and healing a woman from a flow of blood.

Luke 8:26-39

Jesus casts out multiple demons named Legion from a man of the Gaderenes.

Luke 8:22-25

Jesus calms a storm on the Sea of Galilee. Afterward He asks His disciples, “Where is your faith?”

Luke 8:16-21

Jesus teaches that no one hides a lit lamp and that all secrets will be revealed. He also says that those who have will receive more and those who don’t will be deprived even more. Jesus turns away His mother and brothers.

Luke 8:7-15

Conclusion and explanation of Jesus’ parable of the sower. The conclusion is about the seed that is choked by the cares of the world, and finally about the seed that bears good fruit.

Luke 8:1-6

Luke briefly lists some of the women who followed Jesus.

Luke 7:29-50

Jesus compares the Pharisees with raucous children in the market.
Jesus dines with a Pharisee. Mary Magdalene washes Jesus’ feet with oil and her hair. Jesus forgives Mary Magdalene’s sins. The Pharisee is outraged because only God can forgive sin.

Luke 7:18-28

John the Baptist sends messengers to Jesus asking, “Are you the Coming One or do we look for another?” Jesus responds by listing the miracles He has performed, then goes on to say that no other man is greater than John the Baptist.
