Becky Bereans gathered on Monday June 19, 2023 to continue our study of 1 Timothy with Paul’s instructions for appointing deacons within the church. We note that deacons are servants with no leadership function. We conclude with a review of Paul’s instructions about overseers and deacons and the questions these instructions raise for today’s churches.
