The project continued today with the demolition of the side deck, and the completion of the leveling for the basement floor. We worked overnight to clear the back and side decks in preparation for the demolition. With the water feed pipe repaired, the basement floor leveling was completed and ready for marking out the addition footer trenches. After removing the deck boards from the side porch and installing temporary rafter supports, the side deck joists were cut off, and the original roof support posts were taken down.
