Reflections on Mortality, My Father, and God’s Sovereignty

At God’s urging, I am sharing some intimate feelings regarding my father and my own mortality on the occasion of what would have been his 97th birthday, and the week I turned the same age my father was when he died. All of these things are framed and connected through a dream I had about my father the morning after his birthday, and my consideration of the reassurance God’s sovereignty and trustworthiness in all matters that we find in Psalm 139.
