I believe that my church – like so many small churches in the USA is dying. The death of my church isn’t inevitable, but it is VERY, VERY likely. My church is currently in the same state as the church at Ephesus when John saw the vision of Jesus recorded in Revelation. Jesus’ message in Revelation 2 to the church at Ephesus was that we have lost our first love. But unless my church acts immediately and in unison, our church will find ourselves a zombie church like the one at Sardis that Jesus spoke of in Revelation 3 – having a reputation for being alive, but actually being dead!
