Lakeside Addition 7 – Foundation Complete!
With the concrete poured, finished, and cured, the foundation is complete. Framing of the addition can now begin.
We have called our little South Carolina homestead יְהֹוָה יִרְאֵה (Jaweh Jireh) Haven. יְהֹוָה יִרְאֵה (Jaweh Jireh) means “The LORD will provide.” This name of God is taken from Genesis 22:14. After God had commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac on Mount Moriah, at the last moment the angel of God commanded Abraham not to harm the boy, but God Himself provided a ram to sacrifice in Isaac’s place.

The day finally arrived for work on the addition to begin. The biggest events of the day were the removal of two trees by Tim Nabors of Superior Tree Service. This man’s skills are awe inspiring.

Before we started on the addition, we expanded the kitchen by taking out a wall and building in-wall pantry storage shelves.

The Lake Becky house needs a number of improvements. Rather than piecemeal them together, we decided to hire a contractor to make them and build an addition with a large studio, and master suite.
